Tricks

We make use of calculators most of the time to get the multiplication results. However, there are situations where we can skip the use of calculators if we know this trick that I am going to share.

Please refer to my previous article How to Learn Square from 40 to 60”.

So, multiplying number having digits more than or greater than equal to two. So, let us start step by step:

·         Step 1:

Let’s use the problem 57 x 11 =? , To have a better understanding.
Say, A=5 and B=7

·         Step 2:

Then, 7 will be your last digit.
57 x 11 = _7

·         Step 3:

Then, make the addition of A and B and place in front of 7 and the rest is carried over to next digit shown below:
57 x 11 = _27

·         Step 4:

Finally, place A, which is 6, in front of the number formed in Step 3 and you are done with this easy mental calculation in no time.
      57 x 11 = 627

Final Conclusion: Moving from right to left is the key when multiplying with 11 or with any number of digits formed by 1.
